Filipino teen stabs senior student in Dubai school

A 14-year-old Filipino student was injured after his 13-year-old schoolmate stabbed him four times.

Colonel Khalid Mohammed Ismail, the Director of Al Rashidiya Police station said that the junior student used a small knife to attack his victim on Tuesday in the school campus.

He said the control room of Dubai Police received a tip-off that a student was seriously injured after a fight had broken out between two students studying in grade 8 and grade 7, respectively.

Colonel Khaled said that an investigation is under way and the accused was being interrogated about how he had access to a knife in school. Other students who had witnessed the fight were also put under the scanner.

He added the injured student was transferred to Rashid hospital. He had sustained injuries on the left shoulder as well as on his back. The victim’s condition is stable.

He added that the case will be referred to the juvenile public prosecution to take legal action against the accused (student).
