Asian men top Abu Dhabi road violators

Asian men outdid Emiratis in traffic offences in Abu Dhabi in the first nine months of 2014, accounting for nearly 39 per cent of total road violations in the emirate.

Police data showed the bulk of the road offences were committed by drivers aged between 18 and 30 years.

Asian men in that age group topped the list of offenders, followed by Emirati men who accounted for nearly 27 per cent of the total traffic violations during that period.

The figures showed speeding was the most common traffic offence, amounting to 79 per cent of the total.
