Federal Supreme Court adjourns two cases of secret organisation, communicating with foreign state to 22 December

The State Security Division of the Federal Supreme Court has adjourned two cases, one of communicating with a foreign state and the other related to the illegal secret organisation, to 22nd December.

Two Emirati defendants are involved and both will remain in custody until then. The two court sessions were presided over yesterday by Judge Falah Shaya Al Hajeri.

In the first session, defendant M.A.A, who appeared in court with his defence team, was charged by the Public Prosecution with belonging to the secret organisation that has been declared illegal in the UAE and that was disbanded by virtue of the State Security Criminal Court’s ruling in case No. 79/2012, for calling to opposition to the principles of the UAE ruling system with the aim of taking power.

The defendant has been charged with being a member despite his knowledge of the organisation’s purposes.
