Emirates ID fees and fines: See if you qualify for new exemptions

The Emirates Identity Authority (EIDA), has announced new categories of the residents of UAE who are exempted from paying the additional services fees and delay fines stipulated in the ministerial decree Number 25 for 2011.

Emirates ID, in a statement, said that the new categories which are exempted from paying fees against availing additional services cover those with total or partial disability, patients and elderly people (70 years and above) who are unable to travel to the registration centres across the country.

According to the resolution, categories exempted from paying delay fees include diplomatic missions, consuls or persons in charge working for the consulates operating in the country, elderly people (70 years and above) who can?t travel to the registration centres across the country and social security beneficiaries and their sponsored members.
