DEWA enhances initial power supply procedures by reducing time and deferring payment

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, DEWA, has organised the Consultants and Contractors Creativity Lab, which is part of its efforts to achieve the goal set by Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to make the UAE number one in the World Bank’s Doing Business report.

It also supports DEWA’s efforts to maintain Dubai’s position as a global hub for trade, finance, tourism, and the green economy. The event was attended by Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA, and DEWA staff. A large number of contractors and consultants participated in the event, which was held at Grand Hyatt hotel in Dubai.

Over 200 senior officials and specialists from major engineering consulting and contracting companies took part in the breakout sessions at the Consultants and Contractors Creativity Lab. DEWA’s Distribution Power division presented on how it has made recent improvements in providing electricity.
