Labour Ministry signs agreements to further benefit and enhance UAE citizens’ participation in private sector

The Ministry of Labour has recently signed agreements with 20 public and private firms in an effort to further benefit UAE citizens working in the private sector.

The Memoranda, which will launch on February, are a part of the “Absher” initiative, and were signed by Mubarak Saeed Al Dhaheri, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Labour, in the presence of Humaid bin Deemas Al-Suwaidi, Assistant Under-Secretary for Labour Affairs, and Nasser Al-Hamli, Assistant Under-Secretary for Technical Office at the Ministry of Presidential Affairs.

Al Dhaheri called on other government and private companies to join the programme which today lists 50 partners from government and private sector firms in the UAE. “This agreement confirms the new partners’ commitment towards integrating our development plans of enhancing UAE citizens’ participation in the private sector, which is considered an important and dynamic sector,” Al Dhaheri said.

Through the agreements, the 20 companies will offer Absher cardholders special discounts on a variety of purchases including cars, tyres, household appliances, and healthcare.
